A Glimpse Inside My Crazy Mind
During the ’80’s, I was probably the biggest roller skating guru known to man kind!!!!! Yes, I was the dork who took private lessons and lived at Roller Palace on Saturdays!!!!! I shot the duck, backwards and sideways skated, speed skated, double skated (ooh la, la!!!) slow skated and even skated in theme shows!!!! I have some pics somewhere…..hmmmmmm, I must find those!!!
Any other 1980’s roller skaters out there????? Come on…you know you did!!!!
Guilty as well… Junior High School consisted of Friday nights at Skate World and Saturday night at Starlite! Couple skate ladies choice was my favorite! 
Our neice wanted to go to the skating rink a few years ago to meet friends and she wasnt allowed without an adult so Bobby being the fabulous uncle that he is said he would take her under the following conditions… He would wear a sweat band on his head, a 1/2 shirt and some Richard Simmons shorty shorts with leg warmers and would show off his skating skills… Needless to say she stayed home that night!
